No the color green represents rejuvenation or rebirth. When you think about the title, song, and the music video all go together quite well. Please for a moment forget about the horrible music video and think about the message that the dancing scene represents when Ayu is dancing she is reborn because she is not repressing herself. Frankly, this song is not meant only for homosexuals this song is meant to show that she has been reborn, think about what she herself has went through and then apply the lyrics to her life. People in a few earlier posts have mentioned that her lyrics have matured, yes they have because she has as a person. Think about it like this strip away Ayu's money and fame and she just wants to show people that she is a person not a glamorous superstar, who people think is fake because she wears Dior gowns and likes 600 dollar pumps. Even the single cover is interesting because Ayu's eyes make her look dead however she is surronded by light pink roses, which in asian cultures and in Greek mythology, represent death yet in modern Western cultures they are used to represent love, admiration, or respect. Maybe she is attempting to say that her older self, or her self or the feelings she felt have died. The song reminds me of the GUILTY cover, it looks nice yet no one comments on the fact that it appears that Ayu is walking out of a cave in the desert and she is blinded by the sunlight, the truth, what I find interesting is that someone who is not willing to express their guilt would have kept her in the cave or would have kept her safe in the cloak of nightfall. Honestly, I would not personally listen to her music anymore if all of her music videos were obviously about hope, thats why I like her recent music because it makes me think because her points are not obvious.Yet what shocked me the most was that no one even mentioned, especially with this being Ayu's tenth anniversity, that her dancing is somewhat similiar to rainbow and the cover to A BALLADS because they all depict Ayu being healed in some way, or you could say that they all represent her love for another woman. because this person helped become the person she is now. I say that the dance scene, the cover to A BALLADS, and rainbow are all similiar because they could all be easily misinterpeted if you have no prior knowledge of Ayu.

the PV just spoiled the song, imho

too much like MW, a PV which makes you feel as if it has been made by a left leg of nobody-knows-what-to-good-for-director
it makes us more & more convinced that Ayu's shedule is too tough to concentrate a great deal on PVs & such, but these things simply make the artist

I don't understand

no offense, but it simply sucks

I mean, music is okay, covers nice, why spoil this all anyway?

just a waste of time & money

that just freaked me out. I'm dissapointed

vague plot, but cool decor - this all leaves only cheap & blank impression

I know I may be wrong all the way

earlier Ayu had PVs with real meaning & somehow we didn't find it hard to discover

why don't you think that now she simply makes PVs for us, for fans?
and they can be without any hidden meaning at all

why everybody keeps thinking it has smth when it's 80% that it actually doesn't?

don't you think that this director simply can't make PVs?
Personally I don't like her music videos that are easy to figure out. Thats why I cherish music videos like forgiveness, rainbow, fated, together when, marionnette, and etc. Even though I love the song endless sorrrow, I do not like how the music video obviously shows the audience the song is about hope. Also most of Ayu's music videos have hidden meanings that is how she makes her videos for her fans. This is why most fans think her videos have some substance. Who knows maybe this director can't make PVs, but like anything she does this will all be left to individual fans interpertation. Frankly, I have gotten to the point to if I can find a hidden meaning in her music video, then I am good. I hope I did not offend you.

^ sure you didn't

that was just my opinion. fans have thouthands of opinions & actually it's very interesting to read them or their interpretations

nobody knows the truth so we just suggest

I also didn't mean to offend any fans with my harsh straightforward opinion

just I didn't like the PV. sure though RAINBOW & forgiveness were not easy-to-guess
they were 3 tons better
or, maybe, I really should grow up a little to get the message

I understand what you mean, ayu ready, completely there is no need to grow up just because something is not your style and I find nothing wrong with being frank, when it is an appropriate time(and I think that this board is a great place for honesty). I just wanted to say that I was thinking this morning about the Ayu dancing stiff comment and I thought back to the days when I was in cheer and how my coach told me that I danced stiff. Although I was offended I was happy that she told me that rather then her saying that my dancing is loose and sloppy. I just want to say that I personally, because I an some what of a perfectionist about certain things, that I would have rather a somewhat stiff Ayu than a failing arms no muscle control person dancing. And then it hit me I understood what many of you were saying when you said that the director's lack of technique made the video horrible even though there was an obvious message there. So I want to apologize if I offended anyone because I did not think about I would have thought if I was to judge someone on a topic that I knew quite a bit about.

love this post!

i also find it very interesting that she chose to dance with Midori in this video seeing as "midori" means "green" in japanese.

well, the more i watch it...the more i love it and am able to put more thought behind it.
