^ That tends to be her style. I've noticed that usually new songs get performed in back to back tours; they get a two year life-span and then they get retired for a couple of years and then brought out again to fill in spots at her padding the new songs that she has out at the time.

I was okay, but depended on the song.

I was bored as hell during Mint, then Heaven's BGM started playing and I instantly got a second wind.

There was also a lot of CGI and effects and since it was smaller venues than in LIVEGENIC 2015, we have a more direct and stronger connection to her and the performances and were very attentive.

I was okay with it because I never watched Live Genic. If I had, I think it would've been a different story.

Then again I hadn't seen her in concert since '08 so it was nice just to go.

Sadly not I saw her at a-nation in 2008, which I think is still the only time she's done it. My seat was in the 3rd row and she completely slayed me

It was fantastic during LS2016 with that black corset outfit but I would have to say the Livegenic one was slightly better but maybe a second watch will change my mind, the concert is a bit of a blur to me now.

Although I don't like how long LS2016 tour is going, I kinda like the less release approach shes taking. Less is more, seems to work with Hikki and the opposite overexposure approach seems to have contributed to Ayu's waning popularity.

And although a lot of us pray for a return to the older style, we all want the same older songs whereas with her new songs we each find something different that we like. You can kind of say shes appealing to a much broader audience maybe?

I haven't listened to this song in YEARS. Never even been a fan of it. Always skipped it when the album came out. Skipped it during the QoHP concert. Ten+ years later, I'm taking a shower tonight and all of a sudden--BAM--that starts to play in my head. Why? Who knows. Namie magic. Girl makes music that sneaks up on you ten years later to get stuck in your head.

Yeah I'll admit her vocals were much better in the 2012 2013 and 2014 performances of Love Story, but whatever, its Love Story, she can perform it every concert and I wont get bored of it.

So I'm rewatching Live Style 2006 for the first time in a while and I remember her getting some backlash for this concert. Didn't she? or am I thinking of a different concert? I'm drawing a blank as to why, though. Seems like a normal Namie concert to me. Not her best, but not her worst. O.o

it was the first LS and people found the stage boring. Its one of my fav concerts by her though.

edit: i got a spare Checkmate (CD+DVD) to sell, which I brought from japan last week. Gubsi already got me one last years which I totally forgot somehow. Anyone interested?

I love that song! Honestly, QoHP is everything. It was the first album that came out after I became a fan and I love every song on that album. Summer isn't summer without it!

Maybe because the concert consisted of mainly underrated, unpopular b-sides, a couple of songs from SUITE CHIC and STYLE. Most audience definitely had question marks when watching them performed live because they had possibly never heard of them before. But for hard-core fans like us, we LOVE it!!

I discovered her music by the time she was releasing Queen of Hip-Hop album and from that time I am a fan! I still even consider this album to be the best (for me), but I guess it´s a little bit nostalgic feeling speaking out of me
