I don't understand why people even would say "You-tada". That's wrong. Utada would probably correct you if she heard you saying that.

I pronounce it Utada. I study Japanese, and it would sound weird to say You-tada within a Japanese coversation. Moreover, I'm Dutch, and in Dutch we don't pronounce U as You.

i usually say yoo-tada UNTIL i just found out its supposed 2 be ootada. lols, but i end up sayin U-tada.
i say hikki instead xD

A better question would be how people pronounce "Hikki". I'm sure a lot of people say it like "hickey" instead of "hee-kee" like it's supposed to be pronounced.
