I said yes...
She releases good music.. I'm into her more recent music the RnB/Hip Pop era..
I didn't like anything before that... the odd song now and then... but she's a great performer...

Yes, I am a huge fan.

I love not just her recent stuff, but her older stuff as well. She seems to be a good person, who despite her trouble, has gotten back to doing what she wants again.

I really love her songs. I just think she looks bored a lot of times in her music videos.

yes, she's great! although i dislike her first songs, she performs very well, and she's on the scene with big sales from long time. why people shouldn't respect namie as an artists?

I voted Yes. I respect that she took risks to look after her personal interests (getting married and having a son, completely changing her musical direction) instead of her popularity. She decided to make a comeback even though the odds were against her, and proceeded to make some of her best material in years. So, yes, I respect Namie a lot. Wasn't sure which "Yes" option I was suppose to choose though.

do you know how difficult it is to crawl back from decreasing popularity and sales to now what she's having ? She went up to the highest, falls and went back to the bottom and now she's climbing up slowly and finally seeing some achievements....it's not easy u know...

I love her voice, however, I've never been able to really get into her music...I really haven't heard much of it, and the ones that I have heard...didn't enjoy too much...I like some of her titles though...body feel exit i think is the most famous? lol

I do respect her as a vocalist, icon, and artist.

I like Namie a lot, but I don't really know that much about her so I just voted "yes". I like her style but she does seem to have this tendency to produce an inordinately large number of ballady-type songs. I prefer the hip-poppish tracks! Like WoWa.

She is my favorite female artist ever! she is really the BEST, She was the Queen of Jpop then fall in disgrace and then back on top and now becoming very popular again...even if she release cds and singles very slowly and does whatever she wants, that's very admirable, and also she is singin' since 15 years so that's very difficult to be on top since all this time..Namie will be a icon forever and also a BIG part of Jpop History

Hmm now im diving deeper into Jpop im hearing this name a fair bit. I think she is quite good looking, and after a quick look at her Wiki page she has done quite alot. Her having a son and raising him as a single parent while juggling a career (and by the sounds of it she gives Ayu a run for her money!) deserves praise and some of my respect.

So being new to "Namie Amuro", where is a good place to start in terms of her albums (this hip-hop/rnb style of hers is interesting...)?

A good place to start albumwise would be "STYLE" and "Queen of Hip-pop". especially "Queen of Hip-pop"
