[2005] Bold & Delicious - what do u think about this song?

I got and ugly feeling when I first heard HEAVEN... and now i have an ugly feeling about about Band & Disguting!(lol) but I have to agree and disagree with some ppl here.

First... I do think this song... is not.. as pulish as other ayurelases... Since Heaven they killed the magic (tho now i love heaven so much) but I'm thinkin that preview is not the pulished song!....
Also I think ayu's song had some magic that dissapear when RAINBOW came out... IMO RAINBOW is the mix of all ayu songs that has ayu's magic and the song's that had another type of magic.

but even whhith this... these latest singles the past 4 are so so good! ayu had never had singles as strong as these... each song is so different from the other and before it was only remixes. I do think ayu's music is growing. The ppl that say that fairyland and and the rest of the singles suck are not seeing the whole picture, but it's their opinion, cause I know they are truly amazing singles.

I also agree with what xxcyborg_kurochanxx says.

the song BOLD & DELICOUS is very JPOP and it will stand out probably in japan becasue it has english or as you would say.. engrish.... - i hate it..... when u say engrish it sometimes offend me..-
JPOP songs are very enrgetic very like nami tamaki songs hyper-ish and very different from other music! ^^
i like the song too! and PECO has been given her chance to shine in the song! that's why she has a solo part.. and by that ayu is just sharing and not being selfish in her career! sher lets her staff do their own thing! like when she always introduces the band and the dancers in her concerts she dont want them to feel left out ^^
and dont you notice the song in the first chorus part after the chorus part.... youll hear a bit of STEP you.. like the intro in fairyladn haha! ayu is mixing all her songs >_<
and also the verse sounds like my name's WOMEN!
and the title is very unique original! if i was to make an album title i will make them like that! there's nothing wrong with inventing words or something eh? ^^

Okay, first of all, don't go off telling us what we can and can't say. It's our opinion, and we have as much right to ours as you have to yours. None of us said anything against those of you who like it, so don't say anything against those of us who dislike it.
We're not even comparing American music with Japanese music. We're saying this j-pop song is like every other j-pop song. Ayu used to have a unique sound, now she sounds like every other j-pop artist. Get it?
The reason I mentioned the Engrish in her titles, is because she's always had an English word that fits the song. Now it's just some random English word or phrase that barely makes any sense. She's not putting any effort into it anymore.
The artist here is Ayumi Hamasaki. Not Ayumi, Peco & Company. Solo artists are just that: a solo artist. We want to hear Ayu, not everyone else.

To be honest, I think the song is just Ayu's desperate attempt at gospel(in my opionion anyway).

Hi, I'm new here. I couldn't help noticing the wide disagreement concerning B&D. It's interesting how a lot of people are so quick to jump to conclusions when the full song haven't even been released yet.

Regarding PickleCookies, yes, it's good for everyone to be able to express their opinions fully. But there's a FINE line between constructive opinions/criticism and blatant, outright bashing.

As an Ayumi fan, I find it disgusting and hurtful that (at least I assume you to be) a fellow Ayumi fan would say such things as her releasing "6 crap singles", "digging her own grave", "nearing the end", not crapping "diamonds" anymore, and assuming things such as her not caring about her releases. I don't take these to be opinions at all - more like bashing an artist.

If you dislike a song, it's understandable - I personally dislike almost everything before Duty - but please don't just say stuff like "this crap is obnoxious". If anything, I gather YOU are obnoxious for spewing such things with seemingly no respect for other opinions. Sometimes when one says so much literal crap about something, it REALLY destroys the experience for the rest of us.

With that, I have to say I do like what I hear so far out of B&D. I think it's similar to Step you, except a great improvement at that considering I didn't like Step you. So I'm really looking forward to it!

i have heard the long preview:

i think an artist should keep an original style, and i think ayu had once one, but when she realesed RAINBOW, he completely lost it. she making changes all time since then, i thnk R & b is not the genre that suits the most Ayu.

the bridge parts are really strange, i don't see ayu singing that..

i prefer koda's music in that genre (and above all MISIA, if I speak up) and i love Ayu'S HEAVEN, each one should develop and improve their own styles...

you know, perhaps this would not be so "bad" if it was not a single, but as a single, seems to be representative for the artist...

definetely, the song doesn "tell" me anything, the chorus is annoying, the way she sings is like "hey yo man" and well, i'm glad i was not going to buy her new album a nd that i had not put too many expectatives.

and the sounds before the Boldddddddd and delicioussssssss is weird.. its like it sudden jump to bold and deliciousss....

afterall , its stil not a complete song yet.. so lets wait for the full version..

hm.. now that I listened to the 2min-preview, I think that the long version won't make me like this song at all.... I didn't like the 30sec-preview, I don't like the 2min-preview and I know now that I absolutely won't like the full song T___T; ..I'm really really sad, because this single is for me a major dissapointment..

I'm happy because Ayu tries new styles... but... this B&D and Pride-style doesn't suite her voice at all... and normally she has such a strong voice! But with the weird chorus and all... bah, hope the next single will be more pop-rockish again, because THESE are the genres that most people are buying...... I won't be surprised if B&D will sell worse than all her singles released so far this year...

:\ I dunno if this song is really supposed to be '<3 this is a totally awesome song, you need to liek it! >3'. I think it was more of an Ayu experiment, something she just wanted to try out.. she probably won't go back to it, unless it sells like super well! :x. If I was to compare it to one of Ayu's songs, I'd say that it reminds me of 'flower garden.' Mostly because of the 'fun-ness' and back-up singerness. :3 Anyways, it's a fun song, and that's what I think it was meant to be. However, some of the opinions here are really.. wow. xD


Only thing that's ear-bleeding and uggh to me is the Peco. :x Just because Peco has her own CD and stuff doesn't mean that.. :[[[ PECO hurts xD

I agree, I thought STEP you was the worst song this year until now... but even STEP you grows on you after a few listens. The random sudden changes in B&D make it hard to listen to, because for a few seconds it sounds okay, then BAM! a sudden change to the screaming 'bold and delicioussss!!!!!!' I find that hard to listen to, hurts my head.

Yeah, it's weird. They should realise that people aren't going to feel the same way about each song. Those of us who don't like a track are only expressing our opinions, just like they are expressing theirs. If someone doesn't like a track and strongly expresses that, let them do it and don't tell them to give it a chance, especially if they already know their opinion isn't going to change after listening to it a few times. After all, do we tell those who like a track to give it a few more listens and they won't like it either? It's all about personal taste, and if you don't like something, nothing's going to change how you feel about it

I think people are kind of '>:E' at the people who generally say an entire album of Ayu songs has kicked the bucket and sucked beyond suck. You know? I don't think it's just the people who think this song alone is terrible, but those who believe that Ayu is just..not doing it for them anymore.

But sexy Ayu is something completely different than sexy Christina, for example. Is Ayu sex seller when she wears short skirt? I think not! I just like more PVs like Real me (where she looks cute & sexy) than HEAVEN (boring). I hope you understand me more now
