All the ideas have been brought up before and...we really are taking the best steps possible, because even staff members get rejected by the server.

Just imagine how bad the server would be if positing games was still open. @_@

@waterballoon: Yeah, that's why I didn't bother posting when I joined in November, it was more hassle than it was worth.

It's funny how after mentioning it, it kind of.. stopped.. kind of.

I think the best solution is to pay for a better server, to be honest. Why have a server that can only handle X amount of people when we have X times 2 or three users that are actually active here?

^ money? though I still don't understand why the staff won't accept money from the users on here, I bet many would be willing to pay a small amount of money to help the forum run better...and why do we still have super expensive contests?(the money should be used for a better server instead of prices, contests are fun without or with smaller(a single for example, or a hk-press) prices, but a forum thats permanently unavailable is NOT fun

yeah i agree.
i have seen many sites and forums where users can donate some money with paypal.

AHS should have this too, i'm sure alot of us would love to help out. i know i would, since this is like the only forum i actually like.

The staff doesn't feel comfortable accepting donations and/or they don't want people to get big heads if they're helping to pay for the site.

I thought that back in the day we had a "Donations" button...but I might have just gotten it confused with the CDJ/YA buttons.

@Calico: well honestly...we have a bunch of "games" threads...of course not nearly as many as could fit in that forum...but I mean...every so often they are there, in the chat room...

And honestly, I don't really see THAT much of a difference...and we disabled it, and we still have problems.

The only solution is and has always been to upgrade the server.

But because our site is run the way it is, that's not gonna happen.

And that's what really irks us. Just so you guys know.

Well, it kind of depends on luck as well, people going online the same time all the people from singapore go online have bad luck xD same goes for america, but people going online in "european" times have more luck i think

I was looking at my download stats for my uploaded files...

seems most of our downloaders are from the US and Singapore, and then Germany lol and I think France was next.

I just think it's interesting...because there's a lot more people downloading than say, posting a "thank you" right

usually the people who are more active, post when they take stuff...

so I figure, not only do we have a lot of members from those places, but also probably a bunch of leechers lol

I don't think it makes sense to keep a server that crashes just about every time something new [info, covers, mp3s] comes out.. can't we just please upgrade the server so we don't have to deal with this anymore?!

Even tho i agree that getting this message so often is annoying (especially when ayu's releasing sth, or stuff like that), i don't think we should be complaining =/.

This is a free forum. We should be grateful, tbh.

If the staff doesn't want to accept donations, then we should just deal with it. It's not like u're gonna die for waiting a few minutes =/...unless u're 24/7 on ahs

As for the solutions, i don't think there's any.

Deleting innactive members would be useless.

Deleting members who do visit the forum but don't post would be cruel, considering many members are not english speakers, or they're just shy.

In my opinion, we should get rid of all those random and unnecesary threads that would actually belong to the Games section =/.

These threads are really annoying cause... u can't even discuss in them lol.

I'm glad the "how r u feeling thread" is closed, for example. Cause almost nobody read the previous posts before posting, and it was just a bunch of useless posts, of which nobody gave a **** lol.

Even if this doesn't help the server, at least it would help ME be more happy
