Here's what I could understand thanks to Google Translation:
It seems that Ayu's former agent "revealed" that Ayu wanted to commit suicide by cutting her wrists 6 years ago in her hotel in Los Angeles because of rumours saying that she was cheating on her boyfriend. Her family and friends managed to convince her not to do it.
These cheating rumours were saying that she was cheating on Tomoya Nagase with a Latin American man called "Timmy" (LOL).

AppleDaily when it comes to Japanese artists mostly posts gossips, so don't put too much thought into this "article".
