Ok thanks for your answers... I think it's something about Japan's culture that they like fur coats they even have a "Fur of the year" award ceremony like "The best jeanist" award

Yes she does. Pretty sure none of those are fake, but what do I know?
Asia in general has different views on the subject of fur. I think it's also important to remind people that, higher quality fur like Ayu wears is not likely to come from the same animal-hating places that PETA wants you to believe all fur comes from. So before everyone gets sad, remember that we don't know the whole story.

Theres a very different view on fur in Japan that the west. I remember during the winter, the girls had coats which had fur on the weirdest and most useless places (on the shoulder, where it didnt warm up anything, or around the wrist area on jacket with wide sleeves. Really?)
Other than that, yes, that is real fur. You can see it on the way it shines. Looks a lot like rabbit-fur. |

i have 0 doubts she wears real fur, i'll never understand that tho. good or bad places they all do the same stuff to get what they need.*shrugs* but that's just me. for some reason i am pretty sure that high quality faux fur would do the same job as well.
These dayse fur is rarelly taken as something practical rather than something pretty and sign of being ritch. *shrugs*

I agree. You don't need it.
It's just a status symbol.

Oh, I'm glad there is still a possibility she uses fake fur

Well the French Connection coat will be fake but the Fendi will be real, so she has at least one fake fur coat... Fendi seemed to be featured quite a bit in the scans of the lifestyle book though

Just my 2 cents, I am sure she wears real furs. There's always the possibility a percentage of them are faux but if you're 1) rich and 2) wear jackets like that, they are almost always going to be real. Japan in comparison to America (i.e. groups like PETA) does not make as big a deal about wearing animal skins/furs. Every winter, it is very easy to purchase rabbit or fox fur accessories for incredibly reasonable prices. It doesn't make her a bad person but I think the habit of owning furs has been villainised.

I like to see fur worn by animals, but if someone wants to wear fur, who am I to stop them? As long as I make the personal choice, which I think is the right one, to not contribute to the fur trade then that's okay with my conscience.
