According to Weekly Bunshun, Ayu was very uncooperative during her trip to thailand last year. During her trip there as ambassador for Thailand's ruby produces, she was rude during her meeting with the queen, Ubol Ratana Mahidol. According to the laws there, she could have been persecuted immediately for her behaviors. Interviews with staff on thailand's side and a staff in her recording label (edit:Avex) revealed that the Thailand government had spent 1.44 million Hongkong dollar in sponsoring her trip there, but received unreasonable reception from her. Accusation #1: Ayu complained on why she has to go to places like this, and only agreed after her company's repeated explanation that it helps in her international career. Accusation #2: When Ayu leaved Japan on november 26th, she refused to board the plane because of the time taken to check-in 1000 kg of luggage and there are others sitting beside her first class seat. In the end her favorite teddy bear took the seat beside her. Accusation #3: Ayu specified that she wants to stay at hotel that can park helicopter, but she did not have intention to fly in helicopter. The relevant department arranged for a Thai dance group for a dance as a greeting to her, but she waved aside the performance. Accusation #4: When she arrived at the military school for the award ceremony, (edit: should be a ceremony that declares her status as ambassador for Thailand's ruby produces.) she refused to attend the ceremony and stayed in the room. She was reportedly said that "You want me to kneel before the queen? No way!" and even left in a rush after telling them off by "I don't like it means I don't like it", injuring staff as a result. Accusation #5: Ayu left quietly during the dinner after meeting the queen, and did not have a thai dance with her as planned. This had angered the royal family. Ayu's company (edit:Avex) refused to comment on these accusations. The Sun in Hong Kong also carried a similar report, with addition: She requested to stay at Peninsula hotel, which has a helicopter pad. Another request was to bring 200 minders with her, but this was rejected by the government.
