Ayu going back to blonde?

Is it just me or does it seem like Ayu's going back to blonde? Compared to when she came out with Bold&Delicious up until a bit past CDL05~06, Ayu has lightened her hair to a point where it looks blonde. Especially in the Born to Be... PV, her new tour and some of her latest performances.

What are everyone's thoughts about this?

Personally I was tired of it being blonde for so long, I liked the dark color. Especially in the CDData photoshoot. I hope she doesn't go back to blonde until a bit later.

Yeah, I don't want her to be blonde yet. She looked so weird in one of those "Born to be.." performances or one of those interviews.

I really do like her dark hair, like in "Pride" PV, it looks so much better =\

I always thought Ayu looked better with dark hair period. Im just waiting her hair to be black

I'm thinking that she's going back to blonde as well. With the chunks of the streaks in her hair, she looks like she's bound to dye it all lighter again. Considering all her years as a blonde, it would be a welcome change IMO if she kept her hair dark for at least a year.

Even though I prefer her blonde hair, it would be nice if she had kept her new look a bit longer. Plus, didn't she say in an article that she really liked her dark hair?

I doubt she has lighten her hair. The color got washed away slowly.

I hope she's going back to the "Memorial Address" hair color soon. That was her best look. Medium brown/beige. Not blonde. I'm kinda sick of the brown hair. I was the happiest at first, but it's getting boring. Her music seems to have worsen since the brown hair. Seriously.

It does seem like her hair is getting lighter - I hope it doesn't go back to blonde, I prefer the darker tones.

I prefer Ayu with dark hair, too. I don't really like the color she's at now. It's like she's in between a hazel color and blonde. I never understood why Asians dye their hair blondish colors. I mean, what's wrong with dark hair??

I think Ayu changes her haircolour according to the seasons...well, that's what it looks like anyway. Hopefully she won't do the super-blonde look again though o_O

I think its sort of to 'break the mold' xD I read in that one article on Japanese women going 'dark brown' or different colors because jet black makes you look old-fashioned and stuff.


I'd like to color my asian-black hair though for fun ;-; xD

I like her dark hair more. She doesn't look as much like a blonde poser.

I think I'm one of the only people that doesn't like Ayu with black/extremely dark brown hair. It makes her face look weird, for some reason, I think...I really don't like the really straight look either. I'd love to see some red hair, or this color.



I also like really soft, loose curls on Ayu. I love her extremely long hair, its so beautiful. I really never did like her short hair back in 2001. It looked strange. I loved it on the Moments cover though.

alot of asians have red streaks in their hair because it looks very nice with black... But I definately don't want Ayu to be any kind of red or auburn... eeewww! Red heds don't look good on Asians...

I like her blonde hair, her black hair isn't as flattering and makes her look older IMO... But I don't really think she should be bleach blonde like she was in her Evolution days... she's not as young and it doesn't look good as much anymore... someone up above mentioned Memorial Address hair and I agree... not really blonde but not really brown... it looked good on her... her dark hair was a nice change but it has faded and Ayu is known more for lighter hair, which I prefer

hmmn.. how about Voyage blonde then? That's really blonde, but it won't make her look "too young" . Personally I think fairyland's hair color is good as well. I wish she's either making her as "black" as Pride's one, or something blonde... Now it's like an embarrassing moment... neither black nor blonde.. .

I always thought a light brown looks good for her, especially when it's long. That way, it's a bit light, but not to the point where it's blonde. Dark long hair kinda makes her look too...dark? haha.
