Thoughts on BLUE BIRD as a whole?

I think that this is a very solid single with really outstanding remixes.

Despite all that many have said.. it's quite a piece of work from Ayu.

I think its worthy of being the 40th anniversary single :] It seems like they really pulled a lot of stops despite the whole cover issue. ~_~ Different DVDs, different OBIs, semi-different covers, different CD-art-gradients..posters..

BLUE BIRD - 10/10
I like the beginning melody.. it's so.. 'dollhouse-y' :p The chorus makes me want to get up and like, spin around or something. Seriously. Summer is definitely the season she's trying to portray here, and it's even more evident in the PV, which I think fits this song perfectly~ PERFECTLY. /grawr

Mm. I love this song. It makes me want to smile xD Whenever I listen to it, I want to sing along or something.. I need lyrics /death. This does seem like a song that would totally fit some sort of shoujo anime though [not that it's an anime song.. but it has this.. feeling.. something to do with the arrangement..] The message that the lyrics send is really inspiring as well~ <3 <3 The PV could've used some work, but.. yeah. xD It is what it is, you know? This is a good song if you want to be enlightened after a bad day, as is BLUE BIRD.

...oh my god. This song was quite a surprise. It's a LOT better than I expected. A LOT better. The guitar in the background is quite amazing. I envy tasuku. He probably was the one who played it and stuff /AGH AGH AGH. This is truly the rock essence of Ayu.. too bad it's a rearrangement. :[ :[ :[ I wanna headbang or something because of this song. :p I love the part at like 3:10 when she's singing to only this acoustic guitar sound xD

WOAH~ I usually don't like trance mixes from Ayu, but.. woahwai. This one isn't as '...oh. It's just like, the chorus over and over again.' or something. It really sounds like something worthy of playing inside of a club or something. Great job, NISH~ :p THE CHORUS IS MADE INTO LIKE.. OMG /DIES OF THE AMAZING SOUNDS

Now for an Ayumix-thing to come out again.. Until then, this single should hold us off. XD

02 - Beautiful Fighters - 9/10 (very original mixof techo, rock and pop. I love the catchy eletronic tune that keeps popping up.)
03 - Ladies Night ~Another Night~ - 9.5/10 (This is one of the best remixes ever. If it were a new song (or if this was the first Ladies night released) i'd love it even more...it's perfect)

overall, I give this single somewhere in the high 70s. I didn't like the BLUE BIRD remix, and although I occassionally listen to some of her remixes, ~another night~ was pretty good. Beautiful Fighters is my favourite out of this single, followed closely by BLUE BIRD original and ~another night~ tied for 2nd.

I really like this single. I'd give it and 9/10 overall, especially compared to her latest singles. Finally a singles in which I can listen a lot to all of the songs!

BLUE BIRD is a 9.5/10 ayusong to me, I like it better than fairyland, but it's not among my "oh my god this is good" ayu songs.

Beautiful Fighters actually turned out more interesting than I expected even from the PV, it's a bit happy go lucky and a bit slow to me, but the intro is so good, and I really like the robot-voiced parts. to me this song is probably about 8.7/10.

Remixes:

Ladies night remix... What can I say? this is probably one of the best remixes she has. I really liked the original version of this song, and this is just as good. The song is so intense it almost makes me exhausted listening to this. =P 10/10

BLUE BIRD remix: I don't usually grade a remix higher than an original version I already like, especially not a remix like this. But this is such a good remix, it's so summery and perfect for clubbing. I was wondering how long it was when playing it and was amazed at it being more than 6 min without ever getting boring. 10/10

I think this is a good 40th single. It has three different songs (even if LN is a rearrangment) plus a solid remix of the main song. It comes with two aestheticly pleasing PVs, and a very beautiful cover design. Overall, great job, Ayu. I liked this a lot more when it was all put together than I thought I would.

But I love the Ladies Night Remix, and the BLUE BIRD remix is better than the original for me. But other than those two tracks I think the single is still mediocre.

The best song to ever come to life! This song is so rock that it is off the charts. Classic Ayu style and an awesome remix to an awesome original. For Ayu fans, this is the M of Ayu remixes!

BLUE BIRD "harderground remix": 8/10
It's an ok remix. Nothing special where Ayumi is concerned. Personally I feel a Eurobeat mix would have been better than a trance one.

An excellent Ayu single! The covers are a little dull and unoriginal but the songs are new and fresh. + the first remixes since HEAVEN and Will on the Bold & Delicious/Pride single. What a way to hit #40!
