Why doesn't ayu change the songs beats/tunes in live ?

Why ayu doesn't try to change her music tunes in Live Tours?
Like examples...Koda Kumi or Kylie Minogue does...um... I mean like changing the beats or maybe even change the styles...like pop-rock, or jazzy maybe...
Last time kuu also mix her Crazy 4 U into jazzy beats... I think it'll be refreshing coz like...we won't get really bored of the same tunes...maybe um...Boys and Girls rock version LOL

....are you serious?

Anyway, I'd rather she not change the classics, seeing as how it could go either way [either loved, or HATED and people would want the originals back.]

And sometimes she does change the arrangements up like what ended up happening with A Song for XX, so you can't say it never happens. I think that no Ayu song has had enough concert airplay that was changeable-enough other than ASFXX... you can't really do much to her concert staples, since people know and love them as such [UNITE!, evolution, AUDIENCE, Boys&Girls, SURREAL].

Well she does some stuff acoustic and thats it. Personally I don't want her to change it at all, it just won't be as good.

well one instance which i can remember off the top of my head was Best of CDL 06-07 concert, A Song for XX had a different beat/tune. sounded really good too, ive been searching for an audio version of that concert performance ever since.

cant remember if she did others just by my memory, but thats to show that she sometimes does

^That was a mix between acoustic version of A Song for XX and the original version.

Even if she doesn't do jazz versions, rock versions, etc, I still think a lot of the songs sound different because it's with a live band, live chorus and so on.

Well maybe not the tune. I get what your saying. Artists like Madonna or Britney always do that. Indeed it could be refreshing, but i still like it the way it is.
What i would like the most, is a mix of songs, like in her AT 03-04, the combination of SURREAL-evolution-SURREAL was amazing!! (at least it was for me)

Some artist do that, but many that change tunes for example, are those with pre-recorded instrumentals and not live band. Otsuka Ai always do piano solos on her ballads but I notice a lot less change in arrangement in people with live bands.

INSPIRE had all the horns and brass instruments in CDL 04-05, remember? I thought that was pretty damn cool.

I think she should try to update some older non-classics if she ever decides to perform them. Maybe try rockier versions of those primitive LOVEppears techno songs that completely do not suit her voice anymore?

She needs to mix up Evolution if she plans on doing it again next year. As good as it is, it's just really boring now.

Yessss I want her to too.. Speaking of Kylie, don't you LOVE the live version of CGYOOMH? and Come Into My World when she spices it up by performing the Fischerspooner remix version.. It sounded really interesting at Fever tour too.. and Locomotion

evolution needs to sound more like the original if anything

Allthough I agree that her voice do not fit LOVEppears songs anymore, apart form a few, I don't think they are primitive songs. After all, it took pop music 50 years to get there...

I would prefer if she didn't, especially if I was a concert attendee. I would go there to see the songs I know, and if they changed them up too bad, I would be irked/feel cheated.

All I know is when I go see her she better still be playing evolution as it is, otherwise I might cry. =(

I would'nt mind if it was'nt such a classic staple, like the acoustic version of SEASONS.

I agree with se7entheaven there. She's always singing SURREAL, evolution, independent, Boys & Girls, and they ALWAYS sound the same thing, with the same silly choreography for over 10 years already It's time to spice up some of those songs or give them a twist, if she's ever planning to ALWAYS be singing those at every single concert. Just changing outfits and scenario doesn't help imo. It doesn't matter if it could have the chance of making the song not sounding as interesting as the original, at least she'd be willing to offer something different to her public.
If she doesn't feel like doing that, AT LEAST do change your repertoire, because I'm sick of those same songs in every single concert, always packed in groups, EVER and EVER. I think it's part of being a good artist to know how to make the proper changes to songs after they age so they can re-sparkle the interest of the crowd in them back again.
I really wonder how people who buy her DVD performances never get sick of the same songs being performed all those years all sounding the same and always taking almost 1/4 or even much more of what the concert had to offer.

About tiime. It just has gotten to a point that it has become cheap.

It has nothing to do with koda kumi. Koda kumi is not the only one who makes changes to her songs in concerts. Many artists do.

Perhaps it has more to do with the fact that she has to cater to the people who don't enjoy new Ayu as much as old Ayu?

Plus, the people who actually go to the concerts are pretty pumped up when it comes to those songs too..

Well, I don't know. It could be a reason. She doesn't need to give a spin on all her older songs though. Changing one of the songs, at least once in a while would do something imo.
