Exclamation Perfume, the first electro-pop group to have a #1 album in 25 years


This week perfume achieved the #1 position on Oricon weekly chart and by doing this not only they broke a personal record since GAME is their first #1 album ever (they've released 2 albums so far) but they've also just broke another record on the whole Japanese music scene.

Perfume is now the first electro-pop group to have a #1 album in weekly charts in 25 years (24 years and 11 months) this honor used to belong to the band Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO).

I am really happy with this!
And I hope they re-release the out of print singles (fan service...), because now Perfume really wrote their names on the japanese music scene.

It's important to recognize Nakata's work, because it was a wonderful team work.
