No summer single this year?

I was thinking maybe ayu won't release any summer single. Instead, maybe a release in fall, a ballad or maybe something rock again.

It's almost mid of July and we have no news about it, summer ended in August but she hasn't given any 'clue' yet...

What do you think guys? or maybe suddenly end of july we got news about new single somewhere near the end of August?

Maybe she'll release a different type of summer song this year, sort of like an end of summer, sunset sort of deal instead of the bright cheery summer song?

It's sad to think she may not put a summer single out this year...but maybe it's for the best, it definitely leaves us fans wanting more fresh Ayu music, even if we have to wait a bit longer than we're used to.

haha. Is it a "sure" thing that ayu will release a summer single annually? probably we can think in the positive way. Perhaps ayu has no plans to release any summer single this year because she is planning for something else that is bigger and better!

She's released in August before. "Trust" "A" and "fairyland" where all August singles, so it's not like we're sure she won't release one. The only years she didn't release a "summer-like" single where 1998, and 2000... (Boys & Girls in 99, UNITE! in 01, H in 02, & in 03, INSPIRE in 04, fairyland in 05, BLUE BIRD in 06, and glitter/fated in 07[Boys & Girls and UNITE! are songs I consider "summer songs"])

Yeah, I think Ayu will probably release a summer single. I really like the idea of an "end of summer" "sunset" kind of single though. It'd be so pretty.

I really hope she'll release a new single soon...I'm dying from the lack of news...but if she were to release something like glitter again, then I rather her not coz I want the songs for her next album to fit in. IMO glitter stood out too much and I didn't really like it. If she will release something like MY ALL, then I want a new single!!

Hopefully ayu is using these 2 months to make new songs since afterwards, she'll won't have as much time. Maybe ayu is in Hawaii or LA recording right now...lol

If those are summer songs then SEASONS [summer ballad] and Trust [summer ballad] should be counted too. :\

I thought glitter fit perfectly into GUILTY right after The Judgement Day and before MY ALL. It's my favorite section of the album [from TJD -> untitled]~

Last year she had no official "Christmas" physical single, and that blew hard...year before that, she didn't even release JEWEL as a physical OR a digital single, and now she has no summer single? Looks like retirement...she's going to lose it if she doesn't stay on top of her game. If she does wait a while to release something else, it needs to be REALLY good; if it's generic, it will probably not sell that well...

How did it blow hard? I think you're just taking the break / lack of releases in the last few years just a little too seriously.. She's pretty busy with touring lately, as she's had her schedule packed with planning. From November 2007 to November 2008, she's incredibly busy with ASIA TOUR and CDL along with a-nation. D: Also, I have faith that she will announce a single soon.. very soon.

oh well. i dont think i'll expect any like new singles anytime soon. so ya.

lol, just because many overseas fans have had enough of them, doesn't mean Japan will ever get tired of them.. :]

I didn't mean it didn't sell well (I know it sold a lot of downloads) I just meant it sucks that she didn't have a physical release. It feels like she's slacking off (though I'm well aware she's touring a lot). I'd like for her to get back to regular release schedule...although not at the expense of her creativity. I hope she's writing material while on tour.

She did it right after m(u) tour though and that was one of her more hectic tours. She managed to record the song, shoot the PV and promote it on domoto kyodai in the middle of her concerts. Or maybe the song and pv was done before the concert i dunno...

I also hope she releases a summer single to get japan in the mood

Maybe you could refer to you know, Ayu's own actual 3A/4A singles? You know, A, H, and &?
