Has anyone else noticed this about Namie Amuro?
This may have been posted before, but I just got into Namie about almost a year and a half ago. I enjoy mostly everything she does. Her newer stuff anyway. I think her music style is nice and her voice is pretty.
But has anyone noticed that she NEVER has short hair and that she usually ALWAYS wears the high boots in all her PVs and her live appearances? I guess maybe her hair and her boots are her trademarks, but I would love to see her with different styles  It could be that she feels comfortable with those styles best~ I still believe she is beautiful anyway!What does everyone think?

I love women with long hair and hate when they cut it. I say Namie should keep her long hair. I don't care about what she does with the boot situation. The only thing she can change for me is her face. Smile more.

tana;; no there isn't. but there should be. just like there is a certain age where women shouldn't wear booty shorts. it's just not cute nor age appropriate.
 why change? because people will get tired of it. and she also looks a mess. sorry to say, but knee high leather boots and mini-skirts don't go with everything - nor do they fit every season. it's just not cute. it's tired and played out.

i think she should keep her long hair too...although...
if it was short it would probably conceal more of her forehead... she really needs to keep her bangs and stop putting her hair back so much. the boots are hot.

Having had long hair for 20 years (before I cut it last summer) I know that it gets really tiring to be constantly told to "cut it for a change!" Personally I LOVE LOVE Namie's long, amazing hair. And she should keep the miniskirts and the boots. Personally, when I think of Namie, I think of WANT ME, WANT ME Namie, and that encompasses all those things.
 Sometimes you just know what works. Plus she's well into her career enough that she has control over her image, much like Ayu. Personally I think Ayu looks better with short hair, but I know she'll keep going back and forth back and forth, because that's just her style. And I don't really believe in "age appropriate" in regards to "too old". If you look good, you look good. And Namie is HARDLY too old for miniskirts. She still looks younger than *me*, for goodness sake, and I was born in a later decade than her. |

Even if she did cut her hair, it wouldn't take long for it grow back (she said so herself) and it's not like she looks bad with short hair. She must like her hair long or something.
I have to agree with Kaori. Mini-skirts and boots don't go with everything or every season. Namie can rock them but it does get a little tiring. |

Her hair is my inspiration hahaha
But to be honest, I do like seeing her in other forms of shoes besides boots! Her boots are always rockin' but I think she looks good an anything. But you can always count on Namie for having a trade mark. Unlike some other artists, she's easy to identify hahahaha. And I don't think mini skirts are inappropriate for someone her age. She looks damn good in them (I wish I could wear them like she does!). If you can make it work, work it

she's barefooted in some parts of SBTK and L2000 PV - LoL.
i bet wearing those high-heeled boots all the time must be stressful, maybe she can slowly transition to more comfortable footwear for her next era
