alan BALLAD ～名もなき恋のうた～ vs Ayu BALLAD

Which do you prefer and why?

I chose alan because I felt hers brought forth more emotion than ayu's did for me. Her unique voice and style of singing also make the song. There is a certain urgency I feel in alan's that I don't in Ayumi's. It gave me a bit of nostalgia listening to it. Ayumi's BALLAD doesn't really strike me as a ballad, but its still a good song. Though both PVs are filled with longing, I felt a sense of loneliness and a deeper level of sadness in alan's. I did like the visuals in Ayu's PV though, shes so pretty! alan's lyrics sound more sincere and heartwrenching as well.

If just talking about PV, Ayu's totally pwn alan's >_>

But for the songs....I really do love the emotions in alan's song and like she said, it's a song of longing for an old love, but hope for the future
But for Ayu, I'm just so happy from her past songs....so I pick it out of happiness that she still have great ballads~

they both sound pretty similar, when i hear the orchestra parts...
alan's BALLAD is more epic in a way..and I feel the nostalgia of someone dying in a movie
ayu's BALLAD is just so beautiful and i consider all of ayu's oriental stuff awesome~ *_*

alan's. Better compostiton, more epic, better vocals. I'd love to give the win to Ayu cause her PV was so damn goregous....and....alan's was crap (not to mention Ayu's gorgeous You were.../BALLAD covers compared to alan's $1.99 covers) ....but BALLAD ～名もなき恋のうた～ is simply just the better song and alan is simply the better singer.

I'm going with ayu because I like the arrangement more and the parts where she "cries out" make me want to cry. I don't feel that with any alan songs. After listening to alan's BALLAD so many times I notice it just drags on and on and gets boring.

Yeah, I prefer Ayu's PV... sorta reminds me of forgiveness which I adored.
Ayu's past songs still have me hanging on waiting for something great to come out. Sigh.
I do like 'You were...' but its not something I'd put on repeat like her past ballads.

That's exactly what I felt listening to alan's BALLAD.
Well not exactly dying (lol) but of them being separated and her longing for that person.
But yeah, I prefer 'You were...' on this single.

alan's vocals are better out of the two BALLADs IMO.

Ayu's BALLAD is boring to me in the way that Namie's The Meaning of Us is to me.
It reminds me too much of a Boys to Men song I've heard before and I despised them.


I wonder how BALLAD ～名もなき恋のうた～ would sound if it were sang by Ayumi...
