i wonder why everyone say that she sing badly...i don't think she off-key that much..she sounded very good and perform as usual...we are really put too high standard on her...

It's ok...let say that we are draw...u have your namie and we have ayu. Don't always comparing ok... I think u spend life comparing people in this world and tell if they can beat your lovely namie...in any terms..oh ya dun tell me that your GF HAS TO BE / LOOK LIKE like namie...or at least mad about her...so u can both share your obsession...

my ruler tells me that to become a singer, u need to as least able to sing, both in recording studio and live...

if u can't , make a effort to improve on it cuz being a singer is ur job and a passion for singing, then why u want to be a singer in the first place? ...u are forced by ur founder/producer/company or u only want fame , glamorous, money out of it so that u can party all night and buy anything u want?

if ayumi is that sort of singer/artist , then singing horribly will not affect me at all ^_^ cuz no passionate for or enjoying singing = dun give a damn as long as that's fans + money pouring in...

i'm a fan of namie too and i do admire her effort in singing and dancing.. but she has flaws too.. like she doesn't communicate with the fans so well..but i understand her.. she's a shy person..so that's why but i don't critize her over in her threads... i do buy her concert DVDs..

and Ayu has her own flaws.. has her own outstanding points.. she can make beautiful lyrics.. beautiful stage design..costumes, at least she contributes her ideas most of the time so the audience could enjoy the live (though her singing sounds sometimes pretty awful..but her audience is always keep coming in!!!).. and yea, i admit that her voice in CDL 07-08 sounded so bad at the end.. and we understood that maybe it was her hearing problem.. she was great before she had her ear problem..

and she can sing!!!! both live and recording studio, it just her recent lives were troubling because her ear problem.. can u try to understand that?
how if Namie's ear also has a problem?? or her leg broke because dancing too much? how do you feel?? even i'm not namie's big fan, but i do feel sorry for her too..because i enjoy her dancing so so much!!

true... maybe she should tell the audience that night during her mc that she has some problem with one of her ear and apologize for any bad performances for the rest of the show...that will be nice

^well, I think there was a reason she waited till after the concerts. She didn't wanna seem like an excuser, but just do her best.

I don't think that ever happened.. she apologized once for not singing because the choker she was wearing wasn't allowing her to sing appears, and thus she was coughing for 1/5th of the performance..

at least she still has her right ear! and she said she would try her best..
so why don't we cheer up for her?? and give her a chance of doing what she likes? we can't do anything about that...

i only know that she only will do 19 stops of tour concerts in Japan, i think she has reduced her arena tour stops so she can rest much..
she has must have thought for herself too!

actually CDL doesn't mean to have really sing it really perfectly if compare to arena tours.. because CDL is pretty much like a party...
see the stage design is mostly simple, except for last year's..

Husky? I thought it was just her singing style.. she seemed to have changed it like every year until Memorial address, and since then it's been the same.

Whereas ASFXX, LOVEppears, Duty, I am... and RAINBOW all have different Ayu vocals..

i think UHPlus should jus pay to go to her ASIA TOUR 2008 this yr. since he claims that DVD's are edited. den go for her live and hear for urself. thats the best way!

Of course I know about her hearing problem and maybe that's the major reason why she sounds off-key that night.
I don't know but when I watch a concert, of course I expect a good performance, vocally and choreographycally, by the artist. But in this CDL I'm dissapointed with ayu's vocal in some songs (like B&G, Humming, Ladies Night) but the rest are quite okay.
I'm just worried that "the off-key-ness" will continue to her AT 2008. I just hope she will improve her vocal.Just like ayu said, she would try her best. We should believe her.
