10th ANNIVERSARY Cover Album

Probably not the best title for this I know

Ok, so imagine that for ayu's 10th anniversary avex releases an album with loads of artists covering some of ayu's songs and just pick the songs and artists you want to hear doing them

03. evolution -meets BoA-
04. Voyage -meets Scott Murphy- (he's already covering it so why not?)
05. End roll -meets Every Little Thing-
06. UNITE! -meets KEIKO-
07. Dearest -meets Koda Kumi- (Don't start!!)
08. Real me -meets Ami Suzuki-
09. Boys & Girls -meets TOHOSHINKI-

If I'm honest, I'd rather see Kuu cover an upbeat song, not such a beautiful ballad as Dearest..

I think Kuu would probably cover something a little more upbeat, like evolution or UNITE! if anything like that were to really happen.

Personally, BoA should do a slow song, not evolution.

Koda should do something like my name's WOMEN or Because of you.

Ai Otsuka should do a song too, like ANGEL'S SONG.

Kumi's voice would suit Dearest like butter, though. It's in her range, and the way the song was written is frankly much more in her style than Ayu's. I would actually like to hear her take on it.

Here are my thoughts, based on whose voice suits which melody, and whose personal style would allow for a great re-arrangement. 10 tracks for 10 years. All early-to-middle era singles. The new stuff is still too fresh to be covered, in my mind.

I wouldn't mind Kuu covering one of Ayu's songs, I agree with some of the people here, not a ballad though...

I think if they're going to cover songs, they should only be from A Song for XX since it's the whole 10th anniversary theme.

I agree as well. I totally disagree with some ppl saying kuu should sing songs like evolution. It doesn't really match kuu at all. Plus, kuu has several great ballads, for those who think her vocals only suit upbeat stuff, it's time to finally listen to her songs for real rather than assume what her songs might sound like.

Maybe, we never know until we listen to it LOL Some artists can cover others better than the origionals, so this is actually possible.

Exactly, Kumi has a nice, very rich toned voice if you listen to her voice carefully. I think any ballad would be great for her.

Ami doing Real Me would be hot, especially if they spice it up with Ami's trance/Elctro sounds.

sifow should do an easy Ayumi song like um... BLUE BIRD? lmao. It would be hot
