Rock 'n' Roll Circus - 4/14 new album information [III]

The album tracks have a LOT of work to do. Compared to her other singles, S/S and Yw/B are INCREDIBLY weak prealbum singles, so I hope the album tracks are as strong as Don't look back and Microphone sound <3

Also I REALLY hope there is no song called "Rock 'n' Roll Circus"... pleeaaassseee....

I would say that as a longtime fan, they are weak, but to a fresh fan to the Ayumi Hamasaki fandom, both Sunrise/Sunset and You were.../BALLAD would sound rather strong... -hides-

I agree. I try not to buildup too much anticipation when it comes to music releases. But sometimes it's challenging not to. But as always I have faith. Out of Ayu's 10 albums released so far, I only dislike two of them. To me, for the most part, that illustrates that she is very knowledgeable of what she is doing music career wise.

I think I have even more faith in her, as I don't dislike ANY of them. I even grew to love ASFXX! [I just want it rearranged to show off her vocals now and a more current arrangement style, haha.] I'm unsure if there will ever come a day where I don't like an Ayu album, but for right now, she hasn't disappointed me once yet (musically)....

I've been a fan for awhile and I think You were.../BALLAD is a very strong single.

Three brand new songs that all sound different with their own atmosphere and emotion=good to me.

From what I've seen though, the single seems to be fairly well liked. And if Sunset didn't exist I've always had the feelling more people would like Sunrise...

It goes both ways for Sunrise/Sunset.

If Sunrise didn't exist, more people might like Sunset.
If Sunset didn't exist, more people might like Sunrise.

Though since Sunrise got most of the promotion, Sunset got the uber short end of the stick since it debuted in the 3rd episode of Dandy Daddy?! as a surprise that made go "WTF IS GOING ON THIS IS AMAZING" and other people wish that Ayu hadn't trashed that other ballad, haha.

hrmmm well ayu only said that she went to london for the covers, but i highly doubt she would include a hint at what she's trying to do besides some leaning towards a rockier look

i think i look of the album covers is up for grabs

I agree with this statement. They might sound stronger but I feel like she hit it out of the park more times before.

yeah, i also agree with that. they`re strong singles, but like you said "she hit it out of the park more times before". i`m just glad she`s goin back into a rocker phase, and with an album this time! i like rocker ayu, hEh.

Well, this is what always happens. People don't judge a song for itself but they will always connect it something else. S/S is a really good idea and concept if u ask me. But people immediately connected it to other concepts like YumenoUta/futari de... etc but for me an UPBEAT track -> Ballad is fresh. And Ayu did both individually really well. I mean, it's not like she sang the ballad in a really happy mode. And Sunrise definitely gets people hyped. How can u compare such a new age track to Boys & Girls, which is old skool jpop? THAT has already become of Ayu's classics..if not a well-known song in the history of Jpop even.

You were.../BALLAD are also really strong tracks THEMSELVES. but when people hear You were..., they'll all cry how similar it is to songs like No Way To Say etc. Honestly, I did to but who cares, I love how emotional the whole song is..and it's simple melody n the verse pulls me into the whole song and when it climaxes, I think it's just wow. But people don't often see that. BY that I mean, those who have such high standards that no song must song like another and even the vibe "I" get must be different. BALLAD is another emotional rollercoaster and a brilliant track all round despite it lying on the softer side.

I don't think Ayu's works have failed in anyway because it's all up to how u DECIDE to perceive it. U can class it as a typical Jpop tune with a simple melody, or u can class it as a really relatable and radio-friendly one. Itt's only because Ayu has HAD a similar sound that these appear weak..If she released these maybe 4-5 years back, I think people would probably have loved them even more.

Sidenote: I'm getting I am... vibes..(though Im not a fan yet during that time). Sunrise-flower garden, Sunset-a song is born, You were...-M, BALLAD-Dearest
Again, it's MY vibe. Which leaves all the brilliant album tracks I am... had...which were rock and slightly electro hope it's right.

I know how absurd this is, considering the fact that it won't be released for a while, but the label has received more pre-orders for the item than they are able to fulfill already.
