Somebody please tell me why Love Again is any different from this and why everyone is having a huge spaz attack over it.

A little correction on your list (bold means single release right?)
LOVEppears did come with a disc 2 which includes remix and additional contents.

The reason why people are angry/disappointed is because the 2 mini albums we're included. Which was something new that we didn't expect from past release (memorial address and Five) Even if we were to treat it as a single, the price wasn't of a single. It's much higher.
But then again, if she were to release this as yet another mini album with the same price, I would rather she includes the 2 mini album too ^^"

oh, also, wasn't fly high released AFTER the album came out? along with Kanariya

so with immature, whatever, appears and Love getting new mixes, so 10 new songs out of 17 is not that bad.

Somebody please tell me why Love Again is any different from this and why everyone is having a huge spaz attack over it.

1) The "Fly high" and "kanariya" singles came after LOVEppears, and "appears" came out the same day. So I'd venture to say they don't count.
2) Almost every one of those tracks is reversioned in some way - some significant, some less noticeable.
"Fly high" is remixed on the single.
"immature" has entirely different instrumentation.
"TO BE" has mixing differences and a completely new drum track.
"WHATEVER" is extended.
"too late" is a different mix.
"appears" is missing the jingle bells from the single mix.
"monochrome"'s mix is seriously beefed up.
"LOVE ~refrain~" is new instrumentation and a new set of lyrics & vocals.
and "kanariya" is about 20 seconds longer on the album than the useless radio edit on the single.

So really, only Trauma, Boys & Girls, and End roll are, strictly speaking, duplicated from past releases. And those past releases have better remixes than "LOVE" or "again" had on them so they're more worth the money even with the purchase of LOVEppears anyway.

LOL sorry, I was in the middle of typing mine, forgot about it, then came back to it, omg. XD

I should also add that 1) LOVEppears disc 2 had that awesome CD-rom extra thing and it was so freaking cool. And 2) people expect singles to show up on albums, they don't expect mini albums to. So the tracks on LOVEppears that we got already weren't surprises. So yeah. Like emi mentioned, we didn't expect the stuff from LOVE and again to get duplicated on a new album, and many fans bought those two releases trusting that they wouldn't be a waste of money.

You know, I'm actually going to take the high road for this release... I'm just going to tell myself that this will be better than it so shiteously looks right now. That I wouldn't rather cry over how the covers look thrown together in Paint.NET in 2 minutes. That the title is horrendously lacking creativity. That over half of the songs were released already (which is fine, actually really good considering now people have actually heard **** that will be on the album) but the other tracks look borderline eye-sore. I'm honestly just going to say that this new album will be great—a game changer.

Because that's what my psychiatrist would want me to say.

Oh, and I swear, I want to believe this will be a #1. I'm being serious this time.

I don't know. I'm a big fan of instrumental tracks, so I don't see Love and Again as wasted money. I wish Five had instrumental tracks.

I think we should all be a little optimistic, i mean how many of us expected a new album?
She's basically giving us a new mini here, i don't see the big problem.. at least not if the new songs turn out good. She's given us a lot this era, and most of the material has been more than solid.

The DVD on the other hand is some bull.. i can't.

Do Ayumi a favor, boycott everything released as a supposed thankyou to the fans. Let her and her managers know what a load of **** it all is by twitter and maybe they will let her out of her contract and stop making a fool out of their best singer. Well, well, well... I feel cheated. Even without the clear advertising of including the mini albums songs for an full album in a near future.
I think it smells so lazy making something like that. She has done some music with great quality recently, in such short amount of time, but I think there are some other ways to celebrate her 15th anniversary in a decent way.
I wonder who the ******* takes these marketing decisions in her team.

At least the covers are pretty, but natural Ayu is coming for an end for me. Many people wanted her to look like that, okay, here we are, but I need my fierce Ayu back.

Thank goodness I didn't buy a summer. You & Me at first sounded ok. Now it is starting to irritate me. Is this the first time we see a new song in a best collection then again in original album? Even part of me appeared only once and it is much nicer/lasting song...

Hmm... I think that if this album wasn't released as part of this project (I.e. in the space of five months), and released much later next year, I would be much happier because as a lot of people have mentioned, it makes purchasing the 2 mini albums a little pointless. I'm sure there's good 'new' tracks on this album, but with Ayu's history, there's bound to be some which are interludes, so that reduces the number of original full length tracks.
