So I was just thinking...I don’t think there are many songs from her discography that Namie hasn’t performed live. There are a few from Style that were only performed on the 2002/3 fanspace live that never got released and a few tracks only performed in other artist’s shows do what u gotta do comes to mind). I think there’s footage available of her performing almost every song in her discography (Minus the style fanspace). Am I missing any besides those few ones from style and maybe a few from checkmate! ? I’m just curious. If a song has more than one version ie English/Japanese, if she’s done one version live I’m counting it as the song has been done.

The way she sings in 'Genkai lovers' reminds me of some of her Yoru mo hippare performances (especially Ohguro Maki's songs). I kinda like it.

They better be paying royalty to her but sadly I am going to guess they are not and taking the whole cut of the profits.

I agree as well. I think most of the songs being in English had something to do with the generic feel to it for me atleast. While supposedly Namie thought English had a better flow to the uptempo songs of _genic, I think she realized there could be a better balance of Japanese/English and her new uptempo songs in Finally like Showtime/In Two/Do It For Love showed it and they were much more memorable.

While I too thought _genic was pretty _generic, the holy trinity for me would be Stranger or Golden Touch. I think Golden Touch best represents the old R&B era Namie with a little twist of the new Electronic era Namie. When I hear it, I think of songs like WoWa, Girl Talk, Funky Town, CANT SLEEP CANT EAT IM SICK, COPY THAT, etc. And that PV for Golden Touch was something else.

^nah i don't think so. FEEL is still the better album. Yet it has the same problem (her English just isn't holding up as well)

Spoiler:
...on the table was a copy of Namie's 2011 SCawaii magazine

Not sure why they had such an old magazine as a prop, but it was a neat surprise to see hahaha

Anna Tsuchiya self covered Wonder Woman acapella

Anna even covered the segments that AI & Namie did in the song :
