To be honest I always felt that FC is something that should have stayed in the 2000s. It is no different than famous people doing OnlyFans nowadays.

Maybe I feel this way because the way things are sold in her FC are pretty much tie-in sales, which are prohibited by law in Brazil.

Indeed. And as Kaled pointed out I feel like it already came a bit too late, it was around HOTEL that it went global iirc? I regret renewing earlier this year so much... I think I'll just do it again when I have plans to go to Japan again and that might happen only in 2023 or later. A pity.

And omg 13 years from LAST ANGEL means it's almost 13 years since I became a fan of hers, I remember it had been just a while the song had been released. Almost half of my life. The nostalgia is making me feel a little less mad her now hahahaha

You can look at it the other way round, too.
Why should they pay for worldwide rights if only a bunch of the FC edition is sold overseas through her FC?
It's not profitable.

Their big mistake is and was tho that they put it up for preorder although it wasn't setteled at that time and now they have to cancel.
Could have prevented that with waiting like with what they told CDJapan in the beginning and then put it up later after negotiation and only putting it on the FC edition.
Still sucks for overseas fans not being able to directly buy it ofc.

Yup, you're pretty much right, it should have never been put to pre-order in the first place :/ But it looks messy to start selling something and decide to add stuff like this. In the end I know overseas fans arent that many but it's frustrating cause it's not just a product in a shop, cause I pay a signature to that shop and can't buy it. Probably it's not even worth the trouble of making an overseas fc version so they just canceled it all. A pity.

It seems to be Kumi's standard to announce albums while still finishing them tho. I can recall that happening in the last years, so maybe that's part of the problem.

I'm honestly surprised LAST ANGEL MV was added since Tohoshinki aren't together as the full 5 members they originally were when this came out. Still I'm super happy the MV is up on YouTube now. I still remember the day that the single arrived at my door. However I think my most fondest Kuu memory is when my copy of TAKE BACK first arrived at the end of January 2001. I heard it for the first time from an exchange student at my school 2 weeks beforehand and immediately went and ordered my copy after school that day.

digital photobooks are nice, but you know what I really want? the japonesque photobook that was released w the album in HQ and live performances (also (re)live). it is her best look and tour imho.


also I have to laugh about the urusei yatsura × suki3 situation. it is SO random. an old song with an even older manga. i love rumiko,l and urusei yatsura, but this makes no sense. sorry to all who can't get their FC editions bc of this mess.

^manga get rereleased every now and then, especially right now. I did not check, but it could very well be an Urusai Yatsura Anniversary.

Indeed it's celebrating 40 years.
The first volume of the manga was released in 1980 (after its successful run of its first part of chapters in a weekly magazine) and Takahashi received the renowned Shogakukan Manga Award for it in 1980.
It was her first series and at once her first hit.
