No one's ever said anything bad about my J-pop.
Everyone at school that I play it for really likes it.
I love that my school so diverse, open and whatnot.
Sorry that your school isn't, I'd be so sad/mad.

I just tell them my music is better than their music

Or do what micster does

They usually don't say anything, since like.. 80% of my school is eastern asian XDD

(BanFan, your signature + remark rocks.)

Just the past day I made most of my friends listen to my music! I don't want to be racist or anything so I'll categorize genres.
The rappers/hip hop/ etc. "WTF is this!?" "It ain't bad" "THIS IS S&*T!"
The pop/rockers "Like you don't even know the language" "It's cute"
The classical "I like the beat..."
and the rest "This... is... interesting..." "I don't think I'll ever get into pretty pony~pretty pony~pretty pony~(them using the term - NOT ME) music"

And in return if they really sass me off I just argue with them

I was called a lesbian for having Ayu on my binder 2 years ago.

I didn't take it offensively, I just laughed at that person, because I knew them. If I didn't know them, I'd do something else

Otherwise, who cares whats on my binder? XD

Some people I know listen to what I have on my CD player at the moment.. they seem to take a liking to HYDE's music, so I can say I have no critism at the moment.

I've had that happen to me before!!

Yea, my friends don't really care. It's not like they listen to mainstream Western music anyway, so they're fine with me listening to Asian music.

But when I tell other people that I mainly listen to Japanese music, they usually go "Oh, so you're Japanese." and I say "No, I'm Cantonese", then the conversation usually goes "Then why do you listen to Japanese music?". Or, the conversation could go like "Oh, so you're Japanese." "No, I'm Cantonese", then they'll go "Well, aren't they the same thing?" No comment necessary

I try to get some people into Asian music, but I can tell that they don't really want to listen to it unless it's in English

Usually when my friends ask me what kind of music I listen to and when I say "Mostly Japanese Pop", they just look at me and nod. Its obvious what they're thinking-- no words necessary.

Preppy kids in high school thought I was crazy, because I listen to J-Pop and I'm white. Same with here at my university (meaning the preppy kids think I'm a weirdo), except there are a lot of Asian students, and they think it's kind of cool that I like J-Pop.

well, i live in singapore where j-pop is very common here, so i don't get stupid comments.

but i do hate it when they said bad things about why me being a chinese and supporting japanese stuff. i seen some people from China glaring at me before, but i won't care.
i do agree that WWII is a bad thing, but it's another generation now, why must you hate their grandchidren. it's unfair!

my mom listened to BoA, and even bought me OUTGROW
She prefers ayu to kuu....and she once bought me (m)u & BEST ~ft~

my brother like "I am..." album, Kingyo Hanabi, LOST CHILD (Crystal Kay), & even D.D.D. feat. SOULHEAD

about 90% of my classmates know who is Koda Kumi, thanks to me...
and two of them enjoy watching J-Pops like Ayu, Kuu, Namie through my laptop (my school uses laptop)

the rest 10% don't mind much even though they dislike it...they just ignore them,...but they don't say bad things bout my J-interest, so I don't mind

In high school, my friends got annoyed when I would be playing Jpop in my car...they'd switch over to the radio -_- Which kind of pissed me off since it was MY car they were in, ugh.

Nowadays, though, I don't get many people bashing Jmusic. My current friends don't care so much....they're used to my quirkiness.

Two of my close friends also listen to Jpop, and the ones that don't really don't listen to mainstream music otherwise. Since I don't really play my music aloud, people in my school doesn't really care.
