I loved it. She looked very pretty, and her Engrish was pretty good! lol. When she was talking about vacations and breaks, she looked as if she needs/wants somewhat of a break. I think she needs one...

I could never see koda doing a special interview like this lolo wtf. She just needs to stay in Japan...cough.

Ayu left me speechless! When I see stuff like this from her, I have a hard time figuring out how people can hate on her and say she's "fake". She's one in a million, to be THAT influential and sincere, and have fans all over the world.

ASIA TOUR FTW! If people think her popularity is waning in Japan, imagine the waves she could recreate pulling off this tour?!

^ I imagine Kuu talking extremely fast!

Ayu looks so cute while talking in english. I wonder why she changed from english to japanese and back to english and so on.

I also like when she said that she can't compare herself to other artists because she doesn't know how it is to be them and such.

Looks like the tour is confirmed since Ayu said the dates herself... March to June!

We are getting quite off-topic, but Namie and Mocchi would be cool! I wonder why BoA didn't speak in english in her interview. I know it would have been great. Her english is constantly improving!

Pretty cool how both BoA and Ayu mentioned going to the US market... I kinda doubt they will though.

It's no surprise that she sees herself still making music in 20 years. It's clearly her forte and she is really enjoying her job from what she says in interviews. Although all her answers were quite vague (not sure if it was the editing or just because she was answering in circles), the English answers were that way because she expresses herself better in Japanese. Possibly, her English answers were rehearsed because the questions she answered in English were pretty general, expected questions that I would think the international community would ask.

I think it's interesting that she really does have an idol's perspective of her job. She realizes that people see her as a star and she will respond a certain way to keep that image up. It really is like she doesn't have any breaks from her work unless she's in a country where she is less exposed in media. It must really be tiring to be "the singer Ayumi Hamasaki" as opposed to "the private Ayu" for most of her time. She has a great work ethic and I'm excited to see her branching out into the rest of Asia for tours.

I thought it was quite disturbing to see "Ayumi Hamasaki Japanese Popstar" constantly popping up to remind us all who she is and what she's doing on the show.

But anyway, it seems like she'll be a nice person to talk to in private since she looks so attentive to the speaker, like we've seen in Ayuready episodes.

Yes same for me. But unlike us, most of people don't know Ayu (except Japanese people)
I don't really like "Japanese Popstar", I would have prefered Queen "Japanese Popstar" sounds too normal for Ayu real status.

The first thing I thought of was: OMG her arms look huge and why is she speaking engrish?

I thought it was a good interview overall. It was typical

I wonder if "ayumi hamasaki" and ayumi will ever merge

It only does that because some people had just tuned in(remember, it's on television) and it informs the watcher who it is, if they didn't know already.

O_O her accent was NOT very japanese.. nor the pronunciation. She didn't even pronounce the consonants too hard..

Just curious, are you a native English speaker? I see you're not from an english country and you have mistakes in your english writing. If you're not a native english speaker I don't really think you're in the position to rate her accent, since it'll probably sound different to us native speakers than to a non-native speaker. But hey, that's just my opinion

Call me crazy, but I have a feeling that that was because she's Japanese. Just a hunch. (Kind of like when people were *****ing about BoA singing in Japanese yet having a Korean accent. Wow, let's think about that for a second...)

I thought Japanese people had English accents?

I didn't see it yet, but from what I've read in the transcript, some of her "vague" answers might either come from weird dubbing (because there are some stuff you just can't dub), or some of the questions I guess she doesn't really know how to answer (or rather, answer with thought). But overall I respect her choices and admire her for her will to live up to that "Ayumi Hamasaki" image.

I think they should either interview Gackt or Ai.

I thought she didn't need a trasnaltor too, because either the editing is really good or it really went on that smoothly. She was really good with her english, and also had vocab that I would have never thought she would have known (workaholic! )

The questions, yeah, they seemed a little too personal for her to answer. I think she has to remain on the shallower side as a product and not as an actual person. But overall, the interview looked like it went on REALLY well, and looked like she gave enough insight on herself, even if it wasn't related to the question.

I didn't mean that in the interview but during concert, or songs. In this interview, she had incredibly good english.

Sorry for my mistakes in my writing, as you said I am not from an english country. But the special japanese english pronunciation is quite noticeable.
