They were asking her about her lyrics and when she writes them and if she writes all her own lyrics. And then they said they should have Ayu write them a song, and she said "kakitai!" / "I want to write (one)!"

Or maybe people just forgot about that or simply do not know, there were many young people in the audience.

Nope, people don't generally know that. Unless you are really a fan of someone you usually don't know who writes their songs. Most people I talk to are shocked to hear she writes her lyrics.(I think most people assume she is too ditzy/dumb to write) After that, I have been told that "well, maybe she writes her lyrics, but it is probably a ghost writer."

this. people around me know ayu and some of her classic songs but never knew that she wrote the lyrics of all her songs. when i pointed this out, most of my friends (non-ayufan) would started saying something like, someone wrote it and she just put her name on etc
