Great about Ayu being back on FNS again. I just checked Best Artist which is already airing in just a couple of days - no Ayu.

I would not worry about that. Kaela Kimura for example is performing and she's quite honestly pretty irrelevant now. Voting may account somewhat for who performs on the show but in the end I'm pretty sure it depends on who the labels send to the show.

I don't think it's a requirement for singers to go if they're voted for...? Obviously I'm sure a lot of them -do- want to go, but yeah, I doubt they have to. Just like all the other music shows. Even if you're invited, you can still decline.

realistically speaking, we're probably going to hear either "how beautiful you are", "You & Me", "Song 4 u" (most likely imo) or one of the songs from "again" be performed

If they want her to start the show again (mostly likely the case), she'll definitely sing "Song 4 u", her biggest hit of the year. But if they put her in the second half, then "how beautiful you are" is the more appropriate song...
