Her health should always come before her singing stuff so that she can give the best performances that she always has. But I'm sure with how big she is in Japan, and how popular she is, people would understand if she didn't do live performances that much as she usually does them. It's sad to see her go through this. It makes me a sad panda ; ;.

I know that, but that's the thing. I think I might be seeing the Ayu unable to sing a little too soon. D:

And it's not Ayu that's making me feel like "UGH OMG I WANT TO SMACK YOU RIGHT NOW" but it's like, UHPlus and mishidabo being jackholes when this is serious.

Yeah, but if she goes on and goes completely deaf, she'll fell like "nothing" forever.

don't get too agitated by those fellow forum users here. it's not worth it. i have no idea what's gotten into them with all those negativity. maybe they just have too much negativity in their lives so much so they are chanelling it all in this forum. so don't waste your energy on them.

there's no difference losing these ayufans anyway. to begin with, are they really a fan? the whole idea here is of her malfuction of left ear. that explains their capability of really reading into the gist of this thread. i don't know how they can direct their attention into something else and get all so mean about it.

it's of ayu and her ear and just by reading, it's obvious she knows she hasn't been performing well and that's why she mentioned she's going to work even harder to compensate her fans and not finding any excuses anymore.

YOU ARE NOT EVEN HER to even start criticizing how she has not been working hard or she should have done this or that or work even harder. i'm sure she knows it better herself when it comes to her personal health... probably compensate it for the performances she's been giving.

seriously, i wonder how those meanies will react if they have lost their hearing too. i bet there will be people laughing... and oh, you can't hear us laughing? too bad. i'm amazed that the instant reaction they have of somebody losing their hearing is, "oh, go get some hearing impaired device or something. don't have? too bad."

I don't know, I think she loves doing it, and it's pretty hard for someone who loves what they're doing to stop just like that. Maybe she'll try to cut back at least. I mean, she did cancel her CDTV appearance didn't she?

I commend her persistence, but at the same time I do not think it is in her best interest, or her fans. It’s still possible to communicate with your fans as simply a studio artist, and I’d rather have her release albums but sacrifice her live performances than prematurely end her career altogether if she were to become fully deaf.
I agree. If she does touring, maybe smaller venues might help. If I remember correctly, part of the problem was because of the large echo from the dome (?)

You two, please stop talking.

You're not helping. And even if what you're trying to say is to "give advice" to Ayu, it's no use. We can't give her any suggestions and she's just going to keep going on singing the way she has as normally.

It wasn't so much echo as it was just BOOMING NOISE from the speakers set around the stage and dome itself..

Food for thought right there - something worthy has been posted in this thread now.

it's all depends on ayumi or avex whether she want to lower her status from a dome, arena big star to a small forum, hall singer...

when u go so high up...it's difficult for ppl to low urself a bit down

I'm sure they'll try everything possible to prevent the deterioration of her other ear.. they don't want to lose Ayu and have to rely on BoA and Ai Otsuka..

Performing in halls doesn't mean you're at a "lower status".

Yeah, usually she performs, and I think she was going to... and then.. she cancelled the live and ended up airing CDL footage.

I can only hope so :'(
I sort of had plans to fly up to Japan this coming early June for her Yokohama concerts - I wonder if she will be cancelling shows now? But, if it's for her health, I will definitely feel for her.

i think she should try zepps, they are far more personal and, i dunno.. it feels the performer is really into the audience and vice versa. i've seen some pretty good lives in zepps so they should give it a chance

She has done some Zepps but that was the Limited Live in 2003 I believe. But yeah, they're more personal.

Ah, maybe that's why there's a lot of performances in halls for her upcoming tour? I'm sure that must be it.

No, far from it, actually.

She's performed in each and every one of those halls in previous tours, they're just renamed.

Except the Kobe Hall. That's a new place she's only been during a-nation [the area, not the hall.]
