CDL07-08 TV ver. was probably her most weak moment vocally, but at the same time she was dealing with some crazy stuff around then as well.

Well she cried half the show... though... is is one of my favorite CDL cause the emotion was really heavy. But she was way off key... especially at the end.

Definitely could tell that was lipsynched. I wanna hear the non edited Because of You! The edited Because of you is one of my favorite vocal performances.

Be careful bringing up lip-syncing topic, we have some very sensitive users that shall not be named who truly beleve that ayu never lip-syncs.

Does Ayu completely lip-sync the entirety of her songs (singularly, I don't mean every song at her concerts), or is it only specific sections of songs that she lip-syncs? Isn't there such thing as having artists having a back-track playing also? I'm not too enlightened on this subject at all, but I'm interested! I don't blame artists for lip-syncing, I can't imagine the strain on their voices - and given the amount Ayu tours, plus the damage she has already inflicted upon her voice due to touring consistently for sixteen years, I personally see lip-syncing as a non-issue, particularly if it's not the majority of her performance.

^ There is an example of her lip-syncing like 3/4 of Lelio but when the last chorus begins she finishes the song live. I don't know about the rest, someone who has been a fan longer than me and has paid more attention to her lip-syncing might know other examples

^ The songs where she usually go for a choreography, she lip-syncs.

As an example: CDL 2003-2004 (that section that we have from CDTV).

independent is lip-synced. They probably turned off her mic during the song (around 02:01 she tries to say something and there is no sound at all);
evolution is partially live, she has some issues with the mic during the chorus and you can actually hear when it changes from the pre recorded vocals to the live voice, since they are from different channels. It's quite clear when evolution is live, she almost always scream "c'mon" before the "oh yeah";
UNITE! is partially live as well, the chorus is live, but you also can see that she's lip-syncing the rest because around 14:50 she actually breathes in the middle of a word haha, and the sound is totally okay.

This is kinda of a over analysis, but I feel like it's a good example of how she sings upbeat songs.

The thing is, when she lip-syncs, she's not good at hiding it. Just like ANGELS SONG @ PCDL when the camera caught her lip-syncing to the wrong lyrics again. I don't have a problem with it, at least she's not lip-syncing to a studio recording.

It's actually really hard to find the original CDL 2005-2006, because the only version that I can find is the HDTV with the edited vocals. I remember that Endless Sorrow was really bad, she was out of tune a lot during that song.

^ All that section from CDTV is very weird hahah She looks uncomfortable sometimes and I love the look she gaves to Peco when the mic don't work during evolution lol But she really danced a lot during this section!

There's any part of theme of a-nation that her lipsync is obvious? I tried to find something wrong and the only thing I noticed was during 3:26. Looks like she was gonna sing the wrong lyric.

Depending on what the dancing or gymnastics are, there's no way for it so sound okay-ish xD But in Ayu's case this apply for the gymnastics mostly, her choreography isn't that hard.

A huge part of PCDL was lip-synched too, but probably due to the concert lenght.

I am sorry but I don't get the part I marked! Do you mean it like -> she can't sound okay? I am sorry it just confuses me!

Also it's not like I'd say "PLAYBACK B****", haha! Like I always love to watch her my name's WOMEN performance which just ARE lip synched. Although I am not 100% about AT08 tbh.

It's impossible to sing well or even "okayish" depending on how the body will be used while singing^^ Fully performing like that while singing live will sound bad, even if it's a very good singer.
